Peak oil is a lie. We are not running out of oil. We have massive amounts of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. This was very well outlined by Lindsey Williams, who served as chaplain on the Trans-Alaskan oil pipeline when it was being built in the early 1970s. His book, The Energy Non-Crisis, should be required reading for every American.
The truth is that we have very limited refinery capacity. The energy companies haven't been allowed to build a new refinery in over 30 years and the ones we have presently are operating a maximum output. They are also aging and when they have to be shut down for maintenance, or there is a fire, it shocks the economy with additional spikes in prices.
It is my contention that we’ve been made dependent upon foreign oil for exactly the same reason we’re now being made dependent upon foreign food.
There is a deliberate effort by the power brokers to cripple the developed world into adopting new types of more “sustainable” energy. However, their “solutions” to the problem have been worse than their original created crisis. The main alternative that has been proposed and implemented has been using corn to create ethanol, the demand of which has now caused shortages in the food supply. This is what we are now being told, anyway. We now are faced with a food shortage in a country that has enough land, enough resources, enough technology, enough people, and enough farms to feed the world. Yet, we are now told that we cannot even feed ourselves.
How did we get to this place in American history? It is called social engineering, people! We were engineered to get to this place.
It is clear that we have no control over our federal government. We lost that decades ago. That is not a negative statement. That is simply a fact. People who think that we can just vote the bums out, through the electoral process, are as gullible as they can get. People who think that it does any good to call CONgress and voice your concerns, are also badly mistaken. What's sad is that there are many real patriots who still operate under the false notion that somehow we can make a difference through elections, or through begging the wolves to not attack the sheep.
Allow me to be clear: You are not going to change this country with the ballot box. They control the ballot box. They operate the companies that write the software that control the ballots. When you go to the polling place and slide your punch card into the box with the name "Diebold" on it, just realize that they gave you your candidates, they gave you the names, faces, and they gave you the debates, all of which led you further down the rat hole of globalism. They hand-picked the Luciferians from which you now choose a "leader", and all of which lead to the same outcome. You choose between their choices, and it's called a free election. How sick and pathetic!
If you think for a second that electing a democrat is going to end the war on terror, then you are as dumb as a fence post. If you think that electing John McCain is going to stop the giving away of our land, water, mineral, and air rights to the United Nations, then you'd have to be even more stupid.
The only control that we maintain is through the several states, whose officials are rot with corruption. State elected officials are accepting inflation-laden handouts from the central government to implement federal policies that enslave, cripple, and make us all vulnerable. They pass the laws that lock up our natural resources, put restrictions upon our CO2 emissions, and tax, tax, tax us to death. We must each reign in our state governments.
Our control also extends to our local communities that are taking grant money (bribes) to implement all of the "mandates" that are "visioning" and "planning" our communities right into smart growth, new urbanist, walkable, and sustainable living centers. Our city councils are adopting all of the necessary international codes that allow them to persecute and fine property owners right off of their land, whenever and wherever they wish. What they don't steal through eminent domain, they can get through code enforcement. It's theft for the common good.
If we ever are going to survive as a free people, if we are ever going to preserve and reclaim our liberty for ourselves and our posterity, then we absolutely must quit looking for heroes. There is no one else that is going to ride up on a white horse and bail us out of the mess that has been created for us, due to years of neglect, distraction, and preoccupation. Everyone keeps waiting for a savior to arrive on the scene with a silver bullet that will deliver us from the evil. It hasn't happened yet, and it never will.
You, dear reader, are the hero for whom you search. You are the special person that can and must be responsible for turning it all around. It isn't Ron Paul, it's you! You are open-minded enough to see through the lies, the distortions, the outright propaganda, and utter nonsense that the disinformation agents in the media and academia spew forth. You who are well-read have to take the reigns and guide this country back to her former greatness.
With that in mind, you must begin by getting your own house in order. You can't save a country, if your own family is in jeopardy.
We are a disaster away from having store shelves that are completely bare. This isn't intended to scare anyone; it is simply the reality that we live. With rocketing fuel prices again, by design it is only a matter of when, not if, the trucks will no longer be able to roll and make their deliveries. As soon as the masses realize they will have no food, everything will be gone in a matter of hours. Are you prepared for such a crisis?
We need to get back to gardening, wherever it is possible. If you live in the city, consider relocating. As soon as the social contract breaks down, there will probably be rioting, looting, and absolute chaos. You do not want you or your family to be in danger. Living in the rural areas is also important as it gives you greater access to the land and affords you the ability to plant, can, and store food. If nothing happens, you'll eat. If chaos does occur, you'll still eat.
If relocation is absolutely not possible, do what you can. If you have a small yard, turn it into a garden. Or consider growing what you can in doors.
Also, we need to be thinking about alternative fuels. I have a cousin who is working on converting their cars to run on water. It can be done with the right time, research, and effort. Water is made up from hydrogen and oxygen, both of which are combustible. All that needs to happen is an efficient method for separating the hydrogen from the oxygen and you can burn water in your car. There are those who are already developing these solutions.
We've seen from the Katrina crisis that we cannot wait for the federal response to our problems. The federal response to the Katrina disaster in New Orleans was to disrupt, interfere, cut communications, refuse to allow air drops, confiscate guns that were used for self-defense, and generally make a very bad situation even worse. If the truth were known, there are eyewitnesses who swear up and down that explosives had been planted on the levees and helicopters were flying above when the charges went off.
The point is that we have no heroes. No one is going to come to our rescue. If help is going to come, it must come from We The People. We are Americans. We have the power to decide our own destiny. It is this spirit of independence that has built our country, and if our country is going to survive, it must be this spirit of independence that preserves it.
From the Associated Press:
Energy fears looming, new survivalists prepare
BUSKIRK, N.Y. - A few years ago, Kathleen Breault was just another suburban grandma, driving countless hours every week, stopping for lunch at McDonald's, buying clothes at the mall, watching TV in the evenings.
That was before Breault heard an author talk about the bleak future of the world's oil supply. Now, she's preparing for the world as we know it to disappear.
Breault cut her driving time in half. She switched to a diet of locally grown foods near her upstate New York home and lost 70 pounds. She sliced up her credit cards, banished her television and swore off plane travel. She began relying on a wood-burning stove.
"I was panic-stricken," the 50-year-old recalled, her voice shaking. "Devastated. Depressed. Afraid. Vulnerable. Weak. Alone. Just terrible."
Convinced the planet's oil supply is dwindling and the world's economies are heading for a crash, some people around the country are moving onto homesteads, learning to live off their land, conserving fuel and, in some cases, stocking up on guns they expect to use to defend themselves and their supplies from desperate crowds of people who didn't prepare.
The exact number of people taking such steps is impossible to determine, but anecdotal evidence suggests that the movement has been gaining momentum in the last few years.
These energy survivalists are not leading some sort of green revolution meant to save the planet. Many of them believe it is too late for that, seeing signs in soaring fuel and food prices and a faltering U.S. economy, and are largely focused on saving themselves.
Some are doing it quietly, giving few details of their preparations — afraid that revealing such information as the location of their supplies will endanger themselves and their loved ones. They envision a future in which the nation's cities will be filled with hungry, desperate refugees forced to go looking for food, shelter and water.
"There's going to be things that happen when people can't get things that they need for themselves and their families," said Lynn-Marie, who believes cities could see a rise in violence as early as 2012.
Lynn-Marie asked to be identified by her first name to protect her homestead in rural western Idaho. Many of these survivalists declined to speak to The Associated Press for similar reasons. [Full Article here...]
