CGA Update

I've been spending significant amounts of time trying to get the new Coalition to Govern America website up and running.

I finally think I'm satisfied with the look that I have. I wanted a site that was clean and professional-looking. I think that I've achieved that, for the most part. But now, I have to turn my attention toward finding a content management system (CMS)that is functional enough that columnists like Nancy Levant and others can add their own articles to the site. I'm looking for it to be user-friendly, but possessing enough functionality that it has growth-potential for the site.

So far, I've experimented with a few systems, but the learning curves for the functional packages are quite extensive. It's somewhat frustrating, really, because I know exactly what I want the CMS to do, and I know there is a solution that is perfect for my uses. Finding it, however, has proven to be a formidable chore.

Irrespectively, time is a precious commodity. It seems there are never enough hours in a day to accomplish everything that needs to be done. The radio show eats up a great deal of my time. The time you spend on the air is but a tiny fraction of the actual time you spend working on a show. There have been times that I've spent 5 or more hours working on a 1 hour broadcast. It takes time away from the family and from my web projects.

I have to admit there are times that I wish I could be free from the deadlines, the stress, and be able to take a break from the work.

Alas, the time is so short. The Real ID Act is scheduled to go into implementation in May of 2008. Driver's licenses will contain biometric identifiers after that. They are moving ever-so-rapidly!

Why is it that Satan's crowd never seems to grow weary in wrong-doing?
