Opportunist Jesse injects himself

The Terri Schindler-Schiavo story has been one of drama, twists, and turns. Indeed, it has all the makings of a made-for-TV movie, which I predict will be produced.

The most bazarre development yet is just another splash in the over-running bucket of oddities that has marked this case from the beginning. Professional extortionist and opportunist reverend Jesse Jackson has inserted himself into the mix, praying with the Schindlers and offering "moral" support.

Why would an abortion-loving socialist like Jackson align himself with a pro-life cause? Is he trying to boost his image with the pro-life crowd for some reason? Could he be somehow hoping to get a piece of the rewards of wrong doing that are likely a large part of the Michael Schiavo camp?

It's interesting that the Hospice where Terri is being held is said to be under investigation by the FBI for alleged insurance fraud. Why is it that whenever organized crime abounds, Jesse Jackson isn't far away?

Regardless, Jackson is said to be lobbying the legislature in Florida to pass a bill to again save Terri's life. What makes him think this bill will get past the heretofore upstoppable grimy Greer? Won't the legislation, if passed, just end up back in Greer's courtroom again? How are we to believe that Greer will rule any more favorably for the Schindlers than he has in the past?

If Jackson really wants to help, he should pressure the legislature of the state to immediately begin impeachment proceedings against the corrupt judge. But he doesn't really want to be helpful, does he?
