Take a good look at the number above. It is one trillion dollars close to one-tenth the current national debt, according to the government's own treasury department, and the current estimate of what the government's plan to bail out all of the failing banks and businesses that have all contributed to the greatest economic meltdown since the Great Depression will cost.
The root of the problem is the foundation of our monetary system, a formidable house of cards, built on the quicksand of fractional reserve banking, which really should be properly called "no reserve" banking.
Banks have for decades loaned several times what they have on "deposit" to loan. However, no bank really has anything on "deposit" because money, in reality, is a fiction. Money, as we know it, doesn't exist. It is created out of thin air and loaned to the poor consumer who struggles and works two and three low-wage jobs to pay the bankers the interest on the principal that didn't exist until he signed the papers at the loan desk.
The United States has become the laughing stock of the world as the buzzards are circling, waiting to pick apart the remains of America's financial companies. Many of us have been warning that this day was coming, and it has finally arrived.
Since we've become so entangled world-wide, there is talk that the U.S. taxpayers will be expected to foot the bill for foreign banks to keep them from failing. Politico.com reports, "The theory, according to a participant in the negotiations, is that if the goal is to solve a liquidity crisis, it makes no sense to exclude banks that do a lot of lending in the United States."
As I covered on the show Saturday, many of these "reforms" were introduced back on April 1st of this year when Henry Paulson, the satanic treasury secretary, went on TV with our sleazy excuse for a "president" and announced that they had a plan. Of course, the plan includes placing complete regulatory authority over the mortgage markets, the stock market, everything, into the hands of the Federal Reserve Bank the very hellions who are responsible for all of the country's, if not the world's financial woes.
Want to talk about placing the chicken hawks in guard of the chickens?
Naturally, it took a greater financial crisis to provide the catalyst for change and to overcome the opposition to the plan that Paulson, Bernanke, and Bush were pushing for at the time. The current crisis was the perfect storm to revamp the nation's financial system, and hang at least $700 billion and probably $1 trillion on the back's of America's finest. As the BBC put it, "a new order is about to dawn".
With the impending vote to remove "toxic debt" from financial institutions soon to be approved by CONgress, the shifting of the responsibility for the financial crimes of the bankers to the people will be complete. The people will pay dearly, while the bankers, who deserve nothing less than to be hung, will be completely in the clear.
The future for our children gets bleaker every day. Monetary enslavement is a certainty if the insane economic and fiscal policies of our government continue on its present course. But with all of the money that our CONgressmen and presidential CONdidates are taking from the banking, insurance, and mortgage industries, can anyone really maintain any hope that any real reform will happen in our lifetime?
Even so, understanding how the Hegelian dialectic shapes our entire world, the only "reform" that will be introduced as an answer to the present crisis will be the one which best benefits the architects of globalization. It appears that their attempts are to keep the entire porous barge afloat until the time of their choosing, shoring up their control so that when they pull the plug, the people will be so desperate that they will have no choice but to adopt their new world-wide financial system.
Hide the women and children, there are criminals at large and on the prowl.
