The killing fields

By Darren Weeks

The killing fields are open, won't you come?
The killing fields are open
for your daugters and your sons
For "freedom" they'll give their their lives
the ultimate sacrifice
Though the war on terror can't be won.

Just sign your name right on the dotted line
Wear your tags proudly, son;
your life ain't worth a dime
Around the world you'll be stationed
Take the fall for the global nation
You'll get no vacation
'til you're done.

Nerve gas and DU weapons
Pentagon swears its for your protection
But as you breathe the radiation
and get your mandated vaccination
illness is your destination;
It will come.

Our enemies get shrewder every day
We have to get them on their turf,
Before they get away
So come on, sir or ma'am!
Take a shelling for Uncle Sam
They'll accept us or be blown to bits today!

Ask no questions, in your leaders trust
Obey them without objection
This is a major must!
Carlyle Group? Pipelinistan?
Halliburton? PNAC plan?
They won't matter in the end,
when you're dust.

September 11th was the springboard
for our war
Our nation's new Pearl Harbor
Opportunity, we adore!
Making war, we'll call it peace
We'll take your freedoms, piggishly
Until your widows and orphans
grieve themselves sore.

The killing fields are open, won't you come?
The killing fields are open
for your daugters and your sons
For "freedom" they'll give their lives
the ultimate sacrifice
Though the war on terror can't be won.
