Suzanne Wangler Dead

By Darren Weeks

I was shocked and saddened to learn that my former colleague, news anchor and reporter, Suzanne Wangler (a.k.a. Suzanne Page), was found dead at her home, the victim of an apparent suicide.

Suzanne was apparently released on bail. Rumor has it that she hung herself in the basement of her Royal Oak home, but authorities are refusing to confirm the details of her death.

Despite my personal feelings about her which I've previously explored in this space, no one wanted this to happen. This is truely a tragedy and I am deeply saddened about her family's loss. My prayers are with her children and the rest of her family.

ROYAL OAK -- Police are investigating the death of TV news reporter/anchor Suzanne Wangler, found Saturday afternoon in her home on Vinsetta Boulevard.

Royal Oak police were called to the home shortly before 3 p.m. after a relative reportedly found Wangler "unresponsive," said Detective Don Swiatkowski.

"She was found by a family member and pronounced dead at 3:27 p.m.," he said. "An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of her death." [Full Article...]

May she rest in peace.
