Last week I did replays for the Monday and Tuesday broadcasts as I was tied up with my contractors. Michelle and I have been been forced, due to a series of circumstances (and some broken promises) to put in a driveway of our own. A few stressful days, and a few cost overruns later, and I'm happy to report that the driveway -- which actually ended up being nearly as wide as a county road -- is finished.
As I planned to take my seat behind the microphone again this week, word came on Sunday that my aging grandmother had departed this world, and went home to be with the Lord. I believe she was almost 90 and had been deteriorating for a long time. I am now making preparations to be with the family and say my farewells to her.
I plan to be back with new programs again next Monday, unless some other strange twist invades my life. Ironically, it was three years ago today, the 24th, that my mother passed from this world. Grandma died on the 23rd. She missed the anniversary of Mom's death by only a day. What is it about September?
